Win the morning, to win the day!

Uppdaterat: 30 aug. 2020

Morning routine encouragement.

I know, it is hard.... its hard to get up in the morning and to feel that you acctually want to sit on your mat and just still your mind. But hey, we all know that is what will set the tone to our day.

So I just want to encourage you today to pick up this challenge. Why don't you challenge yourself this week and set your alarm 15 minutes earlier. You can do it! Your setting determent function, meaning that the way we set ourself up for the day is how our day will function ie turn out. Our settnings akes us see things in a diffenrent ligth, positive or negative, possible or impossible, glass half full or glass half empty, possible or impossible. We see things the way we are, not how it is, so it is important how we set up our self and our day. So let us set our life function well!

Step by step guide:

  1. Routine is key.

  2. Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier than you normally would get up.

  3. Count down from hitting the alarmbutten; 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and get up! No hesitation, just do it!

  4. Walk to your dedicated place for the challenge. Pick the same place every day. (For me I like it to be a place that is set to the side, where noone would desturb me, a smaller room or a wall behind me in a main area. For many years this place was my bathroom before I had a shower).

  5. Sitt on your mat or folded towel with crossed legs or on a chair with straight back and feet flat on the floor.

  6. Close your eyes

  7. Take three long deep breaths. In through your nose and out through your mouth.

  8. Relax your forehead, drop your jaw and shoulders, releise your belly and any tension in your body.

  9. Think of the beauty of being able to breath, to have a body with hands, arms and legs that makes it possible for you to do things. If you are outside, think of the fresh air, sun, rain or wind on your face. Breath in and out and let your other thoughts just come and go, try not to think about problems or solutions for these 5 minutes that you sit. When they come (because they will) just see them and let them go. Go back to your breath and feel grateful for your breathing, that you are alive and that you can breathe.

  10. Before opening your eyes, choose to focus on 3 things you are grateful for. Your health, your childrens smiling faces, having an income or even the technology for making it possible to connect to others in unsertain times.

  11. Smile, set a smile to your beautiful face. You are wonderfully made, no matter of what you think, and are beautiful. These beautiful thoughts you just filled yourself with, will help you set this beauty free for others to see.

  12. Open your eyes and go about with your day. Knowning you set aside time for yourself, setting a tone to your day that you choose, before the world hits you with its ups and downs.

Have a blessed day!
